Email Specialist/Manager

Grokker is seeking an Email Wizard who can plan, develop, implement, measure, report on, and maintain Grokker’s corporate email strategies. As a critical member of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for the strategy, campaign, and program architecture, partnering with Customer Success, Product, and Community for the overarching Grokker email program. This role reports to the Director of Demand Generation.

The ideal candidate is a B2B email marketer who is skilled at creating and optimizing prospect- and client-facing email marketing engines. You are data-driven and adept at measurement and analysis in support of optimizing campaigns and increasing response rates. You have the ability to work with a wide variety of MarTech and sales technology tools and are a strong cross-functional collaborator.

You can identify market trends and keywords that resonate with HR professionals. You have experience working in a startup environment and enjoy working with sales, executive staff, customer success, product, and marketing teams. 

Responsibilities 

  • Plan and execute email campaigns through nurture & sales cadences, drip programs member updates, and customer success communications
  • Establish BKMs for email strategies, identify and execute on improvement opportunities
  • Determine email KPIs and develop & present reports on a weekly basis
  • Responsible for list management and hygiene, will create segmented lists from the database based on different criteria and create content and campaigns specific to each audience 
  • Develop subscription-based programs for all content, blogs, newsletters, and other  communications channels
  • Oversee development of campaigns and assets with multi-disciplinary teams, including writers, designers, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively to create an over-arching corporate email strategy that includes marketing, sales, customer success, and product initiatives
  • Recommend tools and programs to drive demand gen and brand awareness success.

Skills

  • Proven ability to improve open, click, and other conversion rates through A/B testing and other optimization strategies
  • Flexibility, creativity, and excellent communication skills
  • Project management and time-management skills 
  • Experience with Hubspot, Marketo, or equivalent marketing automation tools 
  • Experience in SEO/SEM content
  • Ability to segment databases with different criteria
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset, a “can-do” attitude, and care about the success of your team and the company
  • Be a self-starter and able to bring innovative and creative ideas to the table
  • Attention to detail
  • Graphic design experience is a plus (be able to create templates: landing pages, emails, banners, and others).
  • Understanding the HR persona is a plus

Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, business, computer science, advertising or equivalent. 
  • At least 3-5 years experience in B2B email marketing specifically internal and external facing audiences inclusive of current customers
  • Experience in wellbeing and/or Health Tech space is a plus

Conversion Copywriter

Grokker is seeking a Conversion Copywriter to manage and execute conceptual development and content deliverables for a wide variety of marketing initiatives to support our rapidly growing Go-To-Market organization. Reporting to the Senior Content and Communications Manager and working closely with a cross-functional team, you will be responsible for creating copy that motivates our audience to think, feel, and act.

The ideal candidate is a creative B2B writer who is skilled at producing persuasive and engaging copy that builds trust and inspires action and is experienced creating content for buyers and end-users across the customer journey via demand-gen, social media, customer success, and member communications. You are adept at blending the art of copywriting with the science of research, data analysis, and psychology to drive people to take the desired action: open an email, click a button, download an asset, share on social media, register for an event, subscribe to a publication, or engage with a digital property. In addition, you are ready and willing to take on other writing projects to support thought leadership, product marketing, and brand messaging as needed.  

An integral part of the Marketing organization, this role will also work closely with the product content and feature development teams, our user community, and customer success, developing persuasive copy for enterprise clients, their employees, and individual users.

Responsibilities 

  • Write concise and purposeful campaign copy that drives the desired outcome for a variety of channels and vehicles, including email, landing pages, websites, social media, blog articles, and PPC ads 
  • Iterate copy for multiple audiences, all stages of brand and solution awareness, and formats
  • Possess an understanding of SEO and leverage industry and keyword research to inform campaign concepts and copy
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure that copy is consistent across all platforms as well as company voice, tone, value proposition, and messaging
  • Collect performance data to test and measure the impact of copy and transform insights into improved conversion rates
  • Monitor competitor and industry campaigns, identifying messaging and industry best practices, and share new opportunities with your team
  • Work closely with project owners to align your copy ideas/suggestions with quarterly business objectives
  • Coordinate with design resources for consistent imagery development and/or selection

Skills

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital marketing, social media, email marketing, mobile, UX, and SEO
  • Proven ability to optimize and improve content through A/B tests and other conversion optimization strategies
  • Flexibility, creativity, and excellent communication skills with English grammatical expertise and an impeccable eye for detail
  • Experience writing for B2B audiences 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks 
  • Proven ability to generate copy and concepts that resonate with user’s needs and drive business results
  • Ability to craft sound arguments using rhetorical devices, persuasive techniques, and an always-growing understanding of human decision-making
